powerless.
A month ago my pastor’s niece died of aggressive brain cancer. 25,000 people died yesterday from hunger. About 1.1 billion people live in extreme poverty, without money, without shelter, without water. And I am powerless.
I was sitting across from a great friend today and I realized I couldn’t make the sadness go away. The hurt in the eyes weren’t going away. And I was powerless.

I’m sure you have been around someone who is constantly and bitingly negative all of the time. My guess is you don’t like this person very much, they are a poison, a life force sucker and a killjoy.
